Built-in Providers
Turn on any of AgentOne's 125+ built-in providers and add your API key.
AgentOne has more than 125 AI providers built in. Turn one on, add your API key, and its models show up in the model selector.
Set Up a Provider
Get an API key
Create an API key on your provider's website. For example:
| Provider | Where to get a key |
|---|---|
| OpenAI | platform.openai.com/api-keys |
| Anthropic | console.anthropic.com |
| aistudio.google.com/apikey | |
| OpenRouter | openrouter.ai/keys |
| Groq | console.groq.com/keys |
| Mistral | console.mistral.ai |
| xAI | console.x.ai |
One key, hundreds of models
Providers like OpenRouter and Vercel AI Gateway give you access to models from many companies with a single key.
Find the provider
Open Settings -> Providers -> Built-in, and search for the provider.

- Search built-in providers.
- The configure (gear) button opens the provider's settings.
- The switch turns the provider on or off.
Turn it on and add your key
Turn on the provider's switch, then click Set Up Provider (or the gear button) to open its settings.

- Paste your key into API Key and click Save, which appears once you change the field. Click the eye button to show or hide the key.
- HTTP Headers are optional. Add them if your provider asks for extra headers.
- Models lists every model AgentOne knows for this provider. Search to find one.
- Add Model registers a model that isn't in the list. See Model Metadata.
Pick a model
Close the dialog, go back to a chat, and choose one of the provider's models in the model selector.
Your keys stay on your computer
API keys are saved in your system's secure keychain (Keychain on macOS, Credential Manager on Windows, Secret Service on Linux). They're never synced or sent anywhere except to the provider itself.
A warning icon next to a provider means it's turned on but doesn't have an API key yet.
Usage and Cost
When you use your own provider, the usage stats at the top of a chat show the estimated cost in US dollars, based on the model's published pricing. Edits and deleted messages aren't included, and if pricing is missing for a model, the estimate shows as a lower bound (for example ≥ $0.04). Check your provider's dashboard for exact billing.
All Built-in Providers
Every provider below works with an API key, set up the same way. Some, like GitHub Copilot and Ollama Cloud, need an account with that service.
