Logs & Diagnostics
Find AgentOne's log files, turn on detailed logging, and report a bug.
AgentOne writes a log file that can help the team figure out what went wrong.
Find the Log File
The log file is called agent-one-logs.log:
| OS | Folder |
|---|---|
| macOS | ~/Library/Logs/dev.agent-one/ |
| Windows | %LOCALAPPDATA%\dev.agent-one\logs\ |
| Linux | ~/.local/share/dev.agent-one/logs/ |
Each log file is limited to 1 MB, and AgentOne keeps older files alongside it.
Logs can include details about your chats, like chat titles or tool names. Look through a log before sharing it publicly.
Turn On Detailed Logging
By default, AgentOne logs only important information to save disk space. For more detail, start AgentOne with the AGENT_ONE_LOG_LEVEL environment variable set to debug or trace:
AGENT_ONE_LOG_LEVEL=debug /Applications/AgentOne.app/Contents/MacOS/agent-oneThe available levels are error, warn, info (the default), debug, trace, and off.
